1.1 Monsoon Class 6th English

b. Listen and Sing

The Sun is shining, oh so hard,
The land has dried, it’s so parched.
The fields are hungry, rivers thirsty,
Oh rain, rain come our way.

Rain, rain is on her way,
Feathers spread, the peacocks sway.
The clouds are dark, hark the lark,
Rain, rain she’s on her way.

The clouds they gather, dash and thunder,
Bolts of lightning, streak and shimmer.
Pit, pat! I feel a drop,
Oh rain, rain she’s come her way.

The fields are drenched, the land is soaked,
The trees have bathed, the rivers hosed.
The Earth is happy, green and cheery,
Oh rain, rain come again.
